Fix Grey Screen in Google Chrome on Ubuntu

I just booted back to my Ubuntu machine again only to find out that my Chrome browser was not working. They gave me a notice that some extensions just crashed all of a sudden. Restarting my browser, thinking everything was fixed, went bad. Only a grey screen and nothing more. To solve this: open a terminal and run: killall chrome

Open Port 80 for non-root user in Linux

Linux is sometimes confusing. Finding out how to open port 80 on Linux wasn’t hard. But I did not know that non-root users cannot listen on ports under 1000! First I issued following root command. # iptables -A INPUT -m state --state NEW -m tcp -p tcp --dport 80 -j ACCEPT Now what you have to do is LINK a port over 8080 to 80. Using following command. # iptables -t nat -A PREROUTING -p tcp --dport 80 -j REDIRECT --to-port 8080 Now setting up your app to use port 8080 can be then accessed on port 80!...

Puush for Linux

UPDATE 13.02.2016: I updated the guide now to work correctly with the newest version of Ubuntu and with some more new screenshots. Puush is a neat website where you can upload screenshots and files instantly. Super nice if you want to share a quick screenshot with a friend. Unfortunately I found out there was no Linux version of the desktop client available, so I made my own. I mainly tested it on Ubuntu-based systems but it should work almost everywhere....
